Humane Society of Marion County Inc is Hiring a Lead Veterinarian Near Belfair, WA

The Humane Society of Mason County is actively seeking a compassionate veterinarian to lead our mission of providing exceptional medical care to community pets and offering rescue and adoption services to local animals in need. Joining our dynamic organization presents an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about making a difference in animal welfare.

At our Community Clinic, we specialize in providing low-cost spay and neuter services, vaccines, and wellness exams to owned pets as well as our adoptable animals. Situated in the heart of Belfair WA, our clinic operates efficiently, despite its modest size. We take pride in our approach to animal rescue, housing our rescued animals in loving foster homes, including a special program in partnership with our local women's prison. The selected veterinarian will play a pivotal role in overseeing the medical care of all animals in our foster program, ensuring each one receives the necessary care prior to adoption.

Despite our compact team size, our innovative foster-based model enables us to be incredibly effective. With no physical shelter location, our animals thrive in home environments, receiving personalized care and attention. We value flexibility, welcoming adjustments to working days and hours to accommodate the needs of our mission. This role offers an opportunity to engage in meaningful work within the field of animal welfare and contribute to the growth and success of our rapidly expanding program.

We invite applications from detail-oriented DVM professionals who excel in collaboration with fosters, volunteers, PR, and office staff. If you are ready to make a tangible impact in animal welfare and contribute to the advancement of our organization, we encourage you to submit your resume today.

Furthermore, we are actively working towards expanding into a brand new facility situated on 5 acres of land. While this transition may not be immediate, we are diligently pursuing funding opportunities to facilitate the construction and eventual relocation. This exciting development underscores our commitment to enhancing our capabilities and impact within the community.
